An Evening with Everton Legends in Liverpool. Barry Horne and Joe Parkinson are guests of the Lord Mayor’s special event
Liverpool will once again host an event that combines the history of football, the local community, and the atmosphere of a meeting with people who have permanently written themselves into the memory of supporters. Already on Friday, 17 April 2026, an exceptional evening will take place featuring Barry Horne and Joe Parkinson, legends of the Everton team that won the FA Cup in 1995.
The organisers of the event are the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Cllr Barbara Murray, and Everton in the Community, who invite guests to a special evening dedicated to sporting history, memories and integration around one of the city’s most recognisable football brands.
The meeting will take place at the Devonshire House Hotel, on Edge Lane, Liverpool L7 9LD. It is there that people will gather who want not only to see and hear the former players, but also to feel the atmosphere of an event built around local identity, football heritage and the shared experiencing of sporting emotions.
The evening will begin at 7:00 pm with pre-dinner drinks, while dinner will be served at 7:30 pm. The programme also includes an entertainment part. Ted Jive Teddy Williams will appear on stage, and Victoria Jones will also perform before the audience. The plan also includes the “If You Know Your History” quiz, a raffle, an auction, and the participation of honorary guests.
This event has a much broader dimension than an ordinary meeting with former football stars. At the same time, it is a form of honouring Everton’s sporting heritage and an opportunity to spend an evening together among people for whom the club’s history remains an important part of Liverpool’s identity. The presence of Barry Horne and Joe Parkinson, players associated with the memorable 1995 triumph, gives this meeting a special character.
The ticket price is £60.

The announced evening will be a proposition not only for devoted Everton supporters but also for all those who value events with class, rooted in history, emotion and the local community. Liverpool will once again show that it knows how to celebrate its heritage in an elegant, warm and meaningful way.
