Liverpool once again becomes the capital of book-led gatherings. On Sunday, 8 March 2026, from 11:00 to 17:00, BoxPark Liverpool at Cain’s Brewery Village will transform into a vibrant literary hub, bringing together authors, publishers, readers, and institutional and business partners. The second edition of the Liverpool Book Festival is set to be a high-attendance, high-media-potential event aimed at both the general public and creative communities.
Liverpool Book Festival embraces an open, modern format. It is not only about book showcases but, above all, about direct contact with creators, on-stage conversations, and accompanying activities that create the atmosphere of an all-day festival. Organisers are announcing the participation of over 60 authors, along with an expanded programme of talks and meetings.

The programme features names recognised by a wide audience, including Ricky Tomlinson. The festival combines traditional author events with formats familiar from the media and podcasts, attracting audiences with diverse interests from popular fiction to true-crime narratives. An important highlight of the event will also be the International Women’s Day context, reflected in part of the programme.
Liverpool Book Festival broadens its profile with pop-culture segments, including a section for comic and illustration enthusiasts, making the event appealing to younger audiences and families. The whole experience is complemented by festival elements: exhibitor zones, creative activities and a food offering.
Organisers emphasise the event’s accessibility for families. The plan includes a children’s zone with activities throughout the day, which strengthens the festival’s educational character and supports the development of reading habits among the youngest.
The event also includes a social-impact component: a portion of the ticket proceeds is intended to support local charitable initiatives. This adds an extra dimension to the festival and reinforces its significance within the city’s cultural activities.
Liverpool Book Festival also offers a VIP zone, providing a more intimate setting for meetings. This is an important proposition for partners and sponsors looking for events that combine culture with brand visibility and genuine networking.
